He writes…
My creative life began in 1981, when I self-released Psychic Air — a home-recorded solo guitar work on cassette tape. In 1985, I released my first vinyl LP, 最終物質 / Ultimate Material, housed in a metal cover jacket made with bloodied hands — my own. For over forty years, I have continued making music entirely D.I.Y. Something I have never said publicly until now: before I began making music, in my teens, I carried a dream of becoming a poet or novelist.
In 2026, a few months before turning 65, that dream I had held silently in my chest since adolescence came true. After more than four decades of creating and performing sound works, a new creative practice — writing fiction — has begun. The sense of achievement this brings, and the motivation and energy it gives me to keep reaching toward what is possible — the joy of this is beyond words.
This is, needless to say, my own life and my own history. It is still only a waypoint. But for me, it is a major milestone — nothing less than a defining event.
And so, to everyone who has purchased and read my debut self-published novel Exosigma: Extreme Addition — I want to express my deepest gratitude. I may simply be getting carried away on my own — but I want to say, from the bottom of my heart: thank you, as true friends who share in this with me.
