Megaptera Announce Re-Release of Cult Album Nightmares via Black Goat Records

November 6, 2026

After three decades, Megaptera has opened the tombs to re-release this legendary work in its entirety. Nightmares has long stood as one of Megaptera’s most enigmatic and uncompromising works. Bleak, oppressive, and essential, the album returns remastered by Henrik Nordvargr Björkk, giving new force to its cold atmospheres and unmistakable intensity, while preserving the raw spirit that made it such a revered release in the first place.

This is more than a reissue; it’s a resurrection. This 6-panel digipack edition gives this cult album the physical treatment it deserves, pairing its sonic weight with a package that reflects its grim aesthetic. Limited to just 100 copies, Nightmares is set for a strictly limited run, making this release a rare opportunity for longtime devotees and new listeners alike to secure one of Megaptera’s most sought-after works in a format worthy of its reputation.

Black Goat Records is proud to bring Nightmares back from the dead and into limited circulation, offering longtime listeners and new audiences alike the chance to experience one of Megaptera’s most enduring works in a carefully presented edition.
