Blending post-rock, experimental rock and cinematic soundscapes, Last Sun unfolds as a patient, reflective instrumental piece, allowing texture, atmosphere and tension to shape its journey. As the closing track on November Sun, it offers a final passage through the album’s sonic world, leaving space for listeners to find their own meaning in the music.
Formed in Copenhagen in 1996, My Beloved describe their sound as Instrumental Music Noir. Built around guitars, bass, drums, piano and synthesizers, their music moves between brooding textures, expansive crescendos and moments of fragile beauty. Over three decades, the band have developed a distinctive approach to instrumental music, performing across Europe and China while continuing to explore the darker, more atmospheric edges of their sound.
Recorded live at Vicious Studio in Copenhagen in just two days, November Sun captures the band’s organic interplay, raw edges and the immediacy of musicians playing together in the same room. The album follows six previous full-length releases and arrives as the band celebrates three decades of musical exploration.
My Beloved will present the new material live at Ny Bastion in Copenhagen on 20 November, in an evening presented by Vicious Records and Ny Bastion alongside Bug Chaser and Josephine.
