With “Moments” SixTurnsNine come up with a single of a special kind. Music Video Producer and Director Jérôme Lozano (Suir, Blind Delon, Mängelexemplar) captured a performance of the Düsseldorf Minimal-Non-Pop-Formation for one of the first ever professional 3D-VR-Music Videos worldwide.
The opener “Moments” of SixTurnsNine’s debut album “Borders” is all about the magic of the moment, this brief encounter of future and past. It’s about space, light and truth. On top of a seductively casual drum loop reminiscent of the golden age of Trip-Hop back in the 90ies with front-runners like Portishead or Massive Attack, a minimalist, almost fragile bassline walks in. Then joined by a wavy Proto-Goth keyboard in the vein of early The Cure or Siouxsie and The Banshees.
The video works some of its magic even without VR hardware. Moreover, 3D VR even works with an inexpensive “Google Cardboard” – a pair of VR glasses for the smartphone – which is available for little money at www.sixturnsnine.de among other places.
