Imi Vegh and Martin Huba, after their musical collaboration since 2020 as IMIAFAN and Martin Huba, are launching a new project under the name MIMO. Following the release of the singles “Výjav” and “Kozmonaut,” the duo decided to expand their work, and this year they present a new single, “Biele miesta” (White Spots). The song’s lyrics are the poem “Biele miesta” by Slovak poet Ivan Štrpka, from his collection “Veľký dych: Psychopolis, tenký ľad” (Big Breath: Psychopolis, Thin Ice), and a music video was also created for the track. The MIMO project brings an unconventional fusion of musical styles—an impressionistic mix of electronic elements, samples, and beats with a touch of alternative. Their music is created remotely between Holice (DS) and Žiar nad Hronom in Slovakia, further enhancing the unique atmosphere of their songs. The upcoming album, which will be released as a vinyl record and in digital format, contains six brand-new tracks and two reworked versions of their previous singles. The vinyl will be released in a limited edition of 250 copies and will be a unique collector’s item for fans of alternative music.
