On this last Monday, December 4th 2023, the day corresponding to the creation of this hodgepodge of sound simius affectations and boring logohreas that is Cioran Records, it was time for us to announce a new signing. Radical cynicism, howling electro-industrial and scathing spasms, which we initially wanted to release last July. Dear friends, here is the french project Flagorne, composed of the experimental black metal artist Maquerelle and industrial hardcore producer Afga06l, who will release their first album “Les Couleurs d’une Fièvre” in the coming weeks on Cioran Records.
On the border of electro-industrial and power electronics, alternating howls borrowed from Black Metal, noisy violence, concrete pads and Dark Ambient, electronic and martial rhythms on cold and entirely mastered compositions, Flagorne spares no doctrine, no trend, no chapel, and remain hostile to anything that can give the masses the impression of liking each other. They offer us in their madness a more honest and lucid fever of our contemporaries made sick by their time, demonstrate the colors of a regressive hysteria which has invaded the culture of the West until the consummation of the ages — this dantesque process being less the fruit of an unfulfilled exaltation than the effect of a disappointed reason. With Flagorne, the century takes shape and we find ourselves among the monkeys and the vultures — the monkeys who multiply the original disgust us, and the vultures take us towards a search for immediate profit hypothesizing a doubtful future. When the most greedy calculations like to adorn themselves with the most devoted sentiments, when priggishness calls itself culture, when equivocation remains the only answer to the simplest questions, Flagorne reveals itself as a philosophical and sound necessity for our era chaos and doubt.
