Uncloud Editions, a new record label and publishing platform from the team behind the Netherlands’ Uncloud Festival, is officially launched with the release of its first album: Who Has the Right to Closure?, the debut solo work by co-founder Skander Jaïbi.

Originally composed in 2023 as a score for choreographer Alicia Verdú Macián’s dance piece CLAUSURA, the album has since evolved into a deeply personal studio work exploring themes of grief, loss, and emotional reconciliation. Across eight movements, Jaïbi blends classical frameworks with ambient textures, field recordings, and intricate sound design, creating a reflective and emotionally charged listening experience.

Each chapter of the album is paired with a visual artwork by Hans Schuttenbeld, selected to mirror the mood and movement of the corresponding composition. The release is available in multiple formats, including digital, coloured vinyl, cassette, and a printed booklet of artwork.

Who Has the Right to Closure? marks the first release on Uncloud Editions, which aims to serve as a home for boundary-pushing interdisciplinary works. The platform is committed to supporting projects that integrate sound, visual art, physical media, text, and digital expressions to align with Uncloud’s mission “to stimulate and cultivate contemporary explorations in art and music.”

Upcoming releases on Uncloud Editions include new works by Near Stoic, Oliv Oliv, with more to be announced. Find out more info on the website: https://uncloud.nl/uncloud-editions/ and purchase music and physical items on Bandcamp: https://uncloudeditions.bandcamp.com/merch
