FLEISCHDOLLS – SO GEHT ES JEDOCH NICHT
DIGITAL & PHYSICAL RELEASE OUT NOW

Keep pushin’ the buttons – Fleischdolls come from a headstrong future. But they never forget the past: At a party with the Goldenen Zitronen, DAF, Sigue Sigue Sputnik and distorted synths they’d pretty much enjoy themselves.
During the production phase of their debut album „So Geht Es Jedoch Nicht“ („This is not how it works“), which involved Sebastian Klose (LAN, Sugarcandymountain) and Sebastian I. Hartmann (Ex-Tyske Ludder), they played some rampant gigs in Berlin. One instance was the 75th anniversary of famed Russendisko („russian disco“) Kaffee Burger. Michael Brake wrote in left-leaning newspaper „taz“: „I’m here for them only. Young men in knee high boots shout over a guitar/synth/sample mixture, bearing a presence like Michael Ballack in his best days. People are kissing in 10 inches distance from my head – while listening to this music.”
According to Berlin-based Fleischdolls mastermind Lukas „mntmn“ Hartmann, the techno-punk-no-wave work’s romantic highlight is the hookline of the song „Lass uns alles zerstören“, which emphasizes Fleischdolls‘ desire for demolition: „Komm doch mit, und lass uns alles zerstören!“ („Come with us, and let’s destroy everything!“)
For Adrian „the kaiser“ Kaiser, the band’s Hamburg-based vocalist, for futuristic guitarist Sebastian „hypo“ Burkhart and for the world’s tightest synth bassist Daniel „ledentist“ Zahn, denying the status quo is the main theme of life. There are many possibilities – but this is not how it works. The system has to be hacked and rebuilt: less heteronormativity, less surveillance, less fear of the world, more good haircuts, bass and internet. That kind of future is what the Fleischdolls stand for – like a brand name. Official Site | Fleischdolls On Facebook | Fleischdolls On Soundcloud
