Newly initiated dark music imprint Viasonde will reissue the Bay Area experimental electronics duo Gridlock debut album. The Synthetic Form will be out on June 7th and available on double LP. This is the first time The Synthetic Form will appear in vinyl format, and Viasonde has pressed 250 clear with black and bone splatter and 250 standard black vinyl. The records will come in a gatefold cover with updated artwork. The Synthetic Form will also be made available as a digital download from Viasonde's Bandcamp page for the first time since its initial release in 1997.
In a heartfelt tribute to Mike Wells, who tragically passed away in 2022, Viasonde, with the blessing of the Wells family, is embarking on a mission to reintroduce Gridlock to the world by reissuing the four main Gridlock albums on vinyl. Additionally, 50% of the proceeds from LP sales will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, honoring Wells' memory.
