Invisible Boy reflects on an individualistic society that often oversees and lacks empathy to notice each others hardships. This take on mental health and human drama is told through the story of someone that goes through life as if being invisible. The song is accompanied by a striking black and white music video that paints a picture of isolation, surrealism and chaos.
Even though Sonic Panda are known for their irreverent and provocative lyrics and visuals, this is not the first time that the band tackles social issues; Just as ‘Foreigners’ did with xenophobia, or ‘Stonewall 1969’ with LGBTQ+ rights. ‘Invisible Boy’ aims to shine a light on the silent fight that millions of people face due to mental health issues such as depression, or other hardships that we fail to notice on time.
While the band is finishing their debut album Neomelodrama, this advance single comes with a bonus track, an alternative version by their producer Carlsed that takes the song in a edgier and harder direction.
‘Invisible Boy’ is available in all streaming platforms and digital music stores from March 6th.
