404 Error hail from Northern England and are a semi-anonymous project led by the artist known as 36663.
Their debut album ‘Scene Killers’ was met to positive acclaim, a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the Goth scene, full of addictive synthpop. Genre Reveal Party shows a much more mature approach to craftmanship.
“Through His Lens” is one of the more serious tracks on the album. This comes with a new remix (Shutter Speed Remix) and a Video.
“There was the idea to do a song about creeps. But when the ideas started to flow, doing something tongue in cheek wasn’t going to cut it. It had to be stark” explains 36663.
“Although the lyrics and video tell the story of a photographer, make no mistake about it…. photographers, film makers, DJs, promoters, musicians… fetish event organisers… there are those who hide in plain sight”
“The main tell, of course. Is they’re not explicit. If someone they work with never says ‘no’, they don’t need to push boundaries. And the more people who have a positive experience, the less likely victims are to be believed”
