The summer idleness has passed in a flash, though we kept up our strength with summer concerts and the release of a new single Die Kanone (The Cannon) – listen here. Stepping into autumn, we not only look ahead but also back, as we mark several significant anniversaries.

LAIBACH 40 – Debut album anniversary reissue

Laibach’s debut album was first released in 1985 and appeared without the band’s name or without a title – as the group was banned in the country at the time.

Forty years later, the album returns — newly remastered and with its originally intended title Nebo Žari (The Sky is Glowing) finally restored. It will be released as a part of the strictly limited Laibach 40 anniversary box, available in both 5LP and 4CD editions.

The box also features a DVD documentary on the history and context of the album, several remasters of historic Laibach shows and an exclusive live recording from the May ‘25 performance at Cukrarna Gallery in Ljubljana. It is completed by a booklet with newly written text on the album along with archival images and documents.

Preorder Laibach 40 from the Laibach WTC Shop and get the release weeks before anyone else. Or you can take it a step further and support your most hated beloved band with a donation. As a thank you, you will receive your Laibach 40 anniversary box at a specially discounted price along with unique relics. Check out the details on the donation packages here

LAIBACH 4.5 – Jubilee concerts and events

Join us this November in Trbovlje, where we mark the 45th anniversary of Laibach’s formation.

On 7th of November, the group will present a special jubilee program at Delavski Dom Trbovlje, back where everything began in 1980. The main guest will be Laibach’s former vocalist Mina Špiler, along with one or two additional surprises. Due to great interest, there will be two shows, with some tickets still available for the second show at 8:30 pm. Get your tickets here.

Aside from the concert, attendees will also be able to view the spectacular Laibach Kunst installation Unternehmen Barbarossa in Delavski Dom. In addition, all guests are invited to join a free guided tour of Laibach’s industrial Trbovlje, taking place on the day of the concert. See more details of the tour here

On the 8th of November Laibach will present an early “industrial” programme at a unique location inside the historic Trbovlje chimney, which at 360 m is still the tallest in Europe. The concert will be followed by a reception and meet-and-greet with the band at the iconic Mt. Kum, with organized transportation provided. Ticket holders will also receive an individually numbered special edition jubilee medallion. Tickets are scarce due to limited space, so secure yours quickly – tickets here

LIBERATION DAYS – WTC Anniversary collection

As this issue is all about anniversaries, let’s end with yet another one. 10 years ago, Laibach performed in Pyongyang, becoming the first rock group ever to perform a big scale show in North Korea! Revisit the story in the documentary Liberation Day — now available in our online store, together with other exclusive items from the Liberation Day collection. Don’t forget also to explore other new arrivals at the Laibach WTC Shop.
