Mind Flux Funeral is a duo consisting of Jason Prost- drums and programming and T Smith- vocals and programming. Quite very versatile individuals that really get us into the groove. This band hails from the Chicagoland area and are hitting venues and playing out everywhere. Thirdwave Collective houses them as one of their main acts. Mind Flux Funeral even has a dvd thats available with video/audio/ and pictures, for booking email jprost@num.com or tsmith@headgearmedia.com. One of the most favourite tracks of mine is "Cuts the Skin", a heavy industrial track that got me moving in my seat as I typed this review. Tony sings, "Where is your god now?" laughing samples laughing at you in the background and just plain good old school drumin in your head. one other track that stuck out is Track four- Ritual, lots of horror samples and creepy electronic sounds that blended well. Tony sings, " Come on , don't stop now!" singing in a metalic hard voice as if this is the words of god. This band has visuals to go with their stage presence. Theatrical makeup, great lighting and lots of surprises. Takes us back to the old school , Ministry, Revco, Skinny Puppy daze which are their major influences to boot. This band has lots of tricks up their sleeves and who knows, you make snap your fingers and the fun in the funeral may be right under your nose. -5 stars

Infinity Interrupt is a duo consisting of Jacob Fisher and Jason Walker. This band hails from the Chicagoland area. Antarctica Starts Here is a very diverse album not like anything I've heard before. Every track on this album would be very fitting for a sci-fi soundtrack, thats for sure. Track five- Half-Life 23 stuck out the most. Haunting background vocals from Christine from Flutter- a an chicagoland ethereal band compliment this track, jacob sings, "we he send his angels or has we fallen from the sky?" while samples of over dubbed movie scores take over. This band has the most things going on in each track. Track after track is like a space ride to infinity literally. Infinity Interrupt plays on August 28th, 2004 at 836 w. Aldine, Chicago, Il ..come check out this band definately from another world. 5-stars

Y-luko is an artist that hails from both Germany and Chicago. He works with Leo as well, who is also heavily involved in this band. He is respected everywhere and is even working many respected individuals. He is a very hardworking individual that never stops putting out good music. One of the tracks I liked the most was Track 13- Empty Again, reminded me of earlier Current 93, very thought provoking and very spritual. He sings, "my soul is born to exist", very powerful and all knowing. Track 14- Ecstasy ( yrzzwe) is a very dansy track reminscent of something from Cold Meat Industry. Heavy vocals with oil drumming sounds, Y-luko sings, "from nowhere to go so far away have to deal with my pain." Marching beats in the background and electronics everywhere exploding like a nuclear war. This track stands by itself and is the headliner for this album, even though it is second to the last track on cd. The rest of the cd is well produced and is also dansy as well. Look for Y-luko to always rock the house and with such great people he works with, his fame will always be known. 5-stars

Bio Carbon 13 is the creative project by Igor a dear friend of mine. He will be playing on August 28th, 2004 at 836 w. Aldine, Chicago IL. Ig hails from Chicago, Il and is starting to play several venues. His new album Igorist has just come out, you can download it from his site. This album is quite exceptional and different from his other older which were much more electronically based. This new album is very dark and brooding and much more gothic sounding. Track six- Trast, Ig sings about a long lost love saying, "did you know when I dreamnt of you?" very thought provoking and moving. Track eight- Claudia is a gothic love song and reminds me of "Xymox's "Louise". Very slow and melodic and sad and down to the point. This gentleman sings his very heart and soul of the one that got away and wasnt meant to be as he expresses. We end this album with Track ten- "Fade to Black" that really compliments this exceptional album. Ig sings to us, "My reflection in the mirror as I fade to Black" and has us practiically fallling into a deep, dark transe as we listen to this. This perhaps could be the danse flloo hit but the rest of the album has a lot to promise for danse floors worldwide. Do something different dial 13 and listen, you might just not be the same again. 5-stars

Cruciform Injection-Epilogue The newest from this Chicago-based band. First of all, I just booked this band at my event and they pulled in a big crowd. 200 plus people showed up at my event, cause of this band. This band was designed to get you to move and move and move and tear that dansefloor up till it no longer exists and looks like it went through armaggedon. Lead singer, Micah Skaritka-programming, vocals and samples, Brendan7-live guitar and programming and Kassi-live keyboards and programming. This trio makes up this remarkable band that rules the dansefloors, worldwide! Word is out that Cruciform Injection is here to stay and is going to turn the world upside down and it will forever not be the same! Track one- Reducer, very moving Peter Murphyish backing sounds with a hard, moving break beat with a lazer gun shooting back at it, nuff sed. Track three- dark house, a very haunting track with symphonic sounds in the background and awesome vocals! Micah sings, this darkened house, just that line alone is dark and mysterious and so many channels are set on his voice to really make it stand out! Quite a catchy tune, I must say! Track four- Vacant Bodies, another super catchy danse track. I can see this track be used for a movie score for a good zombie flick. It's dark and creepy and really gets under your skin. Micah sings, bodies with almost an alien voice and never lets us forget! This track would be good for a new sequel to Invasion of the Body Snatchers or something! The rest of this album rules, you can danse to every one of the tracks, not one is disappointing! So check out the new Cruciform Injection, take them in and enjoy the ride! 4stars!
