A limited edition of the seminal work of "e" which were early warriors of the PROTO-WAVE era in Vancouver, this vinyl includes all tracks from e's three releases, as well as a bonus and very TG-like track. Listening this masterpiece nobody seems changed and the TIME MACHINE effect is assured. Simple and sharp synth sounds often repetitive and hypnotic are dominated by edgy voices which sing straight in the face of the unborn god of New Wave, in that time. The Levitation Syndrome is a real gem and this limited vinyl edition in 200 copies has to be considered a treasure to be discovered and propelled again. The bonus track in the album is the E925 and for sure it will blast every expectation. My favorite track is Prime Cuts. In the house of the record is present also a text of Michael Wonderful which tells us the journey of this peculiar proto-wave band which had its strike in the '80ies in Vancouver.

A synth pop journey in the universe of Allegra Lusini, ethereal sounds and pulsating auras of sound and intuitions strictly related to the Italian wave but without its typical and boring rhetorical text. Alice is indeed and Alice in the wonderland of synth castle, often she touches the chords of trip-hop but again everything is not ominous and dark instead it's a trip in a quiet and magical world but it's never silly or superficial. For the people that never had the fortune to listen her music this album is a real smooth and great surprise. The track JUST THE END is for real the lead track of the work, it casts rays of light everywhere. Crystallum is an enlightening work.

It's a sound work thriving under the sign of Apocalypse blessed from the past by a legendary and elegant band like "A Certain Ratio". Low Defender of the Nervous Curtains has a sound rich in texture and thinking and it tells us about a universe without hope, a collapse of what we call modern civilization. Even if the dark synth wave is present what we listen and feel is a strong and vivid intelligence in this fresco, the human culture is not disappearing is reacting. The band is from Dallas, the capital of a reign very unique and dense of icons and strange memories of the near past. It's again a sign of how much complex and powerful is the American counter culture and its sensibility in the scan of reality. They tell us that PARANOIA is a cultural commodity and how to deny this insight in the era of conspiracy we live. Artworks, is the first thing you manipulate approaching this new project form Q.M., the images processed in the booklet are in the arena defined by McKean and its mysterious aria is really strange, spooky, neighborhood guys transformed in monsters next door. The world of QM, is obscure, above all for me, B/c I do not understand their language; this feature casts a shadow of mystery and occult over their work. In many sense sometimes, during the listening of this work, you can feel the same atmosphere of "The exorcist movie". Q.M. are noise, dark, symphonic artists and nothing is punk_like, or grunge, from a certain POV they are the Dead Can Dance of the Hebrew music world. But more aggressive, darkish and, another time, they use the mystery of their language like an Art Form; a question of perception, an ancient and unknown, for many people, language increase the mystery of this experience. I like so much their approach, they follow the rules of contemporary music (Cage) creating complex carpets of classical instruments but they add also the dimensions of the electronic processing, and the acid of an ambient-noise oriented ( guitar as the industrial excellence strumento ). Another time Q.M. created a Reign where old B/W pictures coming from alien asylums, occult maneuvers in darkness and sound from the ID and from the most ancient language of our
earth became the 4 kings of this "Middle Earth/Middle East" of music and dreams.

Slovenian music project, electronic rock, with a great pressure, ready for MOVIES sound tracks. They aren't only electronic is easy to hear a lot of acid sounds especially in the cover of "It's no good"...something Placebo-like but less friendly and definitely more hungry. NONM is a band that does want to like simply, their aim is to create some sound scape non properly rock-Indie based they have a world made of electronics vibes, straight drums and acid voice. In a word they are SPECIAL and not so common as they appears in a first sight, they are walking in a space they have already focused, very well focused. Gender Changer is a manifesto of this approach to stay in the rules but making out a sort of alteration of them. Best track DIGITAL CRY, that makes me aware that's true: Not everything is made in China and this Slovenian band is telling to us acidly.
