In uncertain times, a bit of positive, progressive instrumental house never hurt anybody, and can provide a nice tonic. And so it is with this fairly simple three-pack of encouraging DJ-friendly tunes.

“En El Cielo” has a lovely gentle balearic melody over a steady kick, strongly evocative of that old-school Ibiza vibe, sunshine and dancing in the beautiful outdoors. It’s potentially either tonic, or salt in the wound, for the many of us currently not allowed to be outside, congregated and partying.

“Floating On” has a slightly less panoramic vibe, a nice rolling and positive groove that reminds me of Juhl Krøse tracks, while “Preticor” is the track most fitting of the space-themed artwork, with broader atmospherics and a little more reverb but essentially that same feel-good travelling techno feel.

Frankly, it’s eminently forgettable, missing any hook or unique characteristic that would make it stand out. But it’s 24 minutes of harmless musical positivity and if you let it wash over you, the effects are likely to be beneficial.
