Mark Wilson has been at this for a long time and should need little introduction. In addition to his work as Conure, he is also part of 15 Degrees Below Zero. This is a short disc, so let's dive in.

We open up with “Notes on a Spinning Table,” which is a bit different from the other stuff I have heard from Conure, and I suspect that part of it comes from it being a live improvisation rather than the meticulously crafted work we generally hear from Conure. This was originally recorded live to video for the 2021 Norcal Noisefest. Tons of hiss and bits of sine wave tones as the entire composition is threatened by a wall of ever-encroaching feedback. Bits of scraping metal and low end rumble keep it interesting as the loops slowly deteriorate.

Next up, we have “Preliminary Notes on a Table,” which begins similarly with the sine wave intro, but then kicks right into heavy, grinding noise. Where in the previous track the feedback was somewhat restrained, in this track the feedback is totally free to destroy any sound source in its path. If you want the harsh noise side of Conure, this delivers.

Overall, this is nicely done. Conure has been at this for well over two decades, and this disc shows it. This disc weighs in at just over 15 minutes.
