RDKPL is the work of Czech noisemaker Radek Kopel, who has been around for quite some time in the noise scene. He is best known as the individual behind Napalmed, but has many other monikers, including RDKPL, Rak, and eR_Ka, who have all previously been released discs on Inner Demons.

This disc consists of two tracks, “220822_01_” and “220822_02_.” The liner notes state that the “droloctronix session was created via three NoiSoaps and effects in various combinations.” I was not familiar with NoiSoaps, but they are noise generators. Sounds like a good time, so let’s get into it.

Both tracks are similar in composition, and consist of spastic, crunchy digital noise. The music is constantly changing and shifting, but always moving quickly from one sound to another. This is heavy and crunchy noise, and the kind of thing that is right up my alley. If you like variety in your noise, rather than a static harsh noise wall, this is what you are looking for.

If there is a criticism to be had here, it’s that both tracks sound too similar. Thankfully, that similar is still good. This album weighs in at around 21 minutes and is limited to 42 copies.
