One of the things I like about Inner Demons is the 3” format that gives you just a taste of an artist. I was not very familiar with this artist, but his Bandcamp bio proclaims that "The Ghost of/that is Jon Watkins is a Composer/Guitarist in a small room but a big world from the land of Montreal." So let’s settle in for some guitar-based work and dive right in.

"WhOaCopter" is an interesting soundscape with layers of guitar picking and a fair amount of reverb. Kind of feels like a Durutti Column outtake. "Glasserously" keeps this same kind of feel going before "City Sorcerer on the Countryside" changes it up a bit. This is a bit more spastic, with a kind of scale-running solo with layers of bass and guitar. "Ancient Warlock Dance" features lots of rattling shakers and heavily processed guitar with a generous helping of slide guitar. "The Forever Worm" closes it off with a track that is grittier, with distortion pedal added to the guitar, while the reverbed out guitars remain in the background.

If you are looking for something noisy, this is not going to scratch that itch. But if you really like dreamlike guitars with a lot of layers, this is a nice ride. Think Cocteau Twins and Durutti Column, and you would be heading in the right direction. Overall a pleasant listen. This disc weighs in at around 21 minutes.
