If "432Hz" is an elemental prayer, "Tata" is a journey through a shadowed gallery of forgotten memories. Created for an exhibition at Gallery Tata in Tokyo, this album blurs the line between sound and place, between the tangible and the ephemeral. The antique clocks, creaking floors, and rustling paper of the gallery’s aged objects are not just inspirations - they are participants in the music, their voices woven seamlessly into Date’s sparse, evocative piano work.

Each track unfolds like an encounter in a dimly lit room. In “Toki to Kishimi” (Time and Creaking), the tension between past and present feels palpable, while “Kami to Hikari” (Paper and Light) captures the fragile dance of light across an aged photograph. By the time we reach “Sakura to Kawa” (Cherry Blossoms and River), it’s as though we’re walking through time itself, the air thick with the scent of old wood and fading memories.

The album is an homage to the anonymous - to the unnamed photographers of the late Meiji and Taisho periods, to the hands that crafted the objects in the gallery, and to the moments suspended within their works. It’s as if Date has translated these unspoken histories into sound, allowing their echoes to resonate in the present.
