Across four original tracks and four remix interpretations, the Toledo-based producer Yoikol crafts a sonic playground where techno meets nostalgia, futurism, and a bit of cheeky irreverence.

The title track, "We’ll Be The Weirdos", is a proper dancefloor igniter, its old-school stabs offering a sly nod to techno’s roots while staying firmly planted in the now. It’s the musical equivalent of winking at the DJ booth as you lead the crowd into a collective groove. Enter Kaiser, whose remix bathes the track in an atmospheric glow, like a sudden fog rolling into the club, making everything feel just a little more cinematic.

"Next Trip" amps up the industrial aggression, a pulsating journey through techno’s grittier corridors. But just as you’re settling into its raw energy, Non Reversible’s remix sweeps in, injecting a fast-paced hypnotism with a wink of acid - a sonic espresso shot for the dancefloor.

"Pace" shifts gears, offering a warm-up groove that’s all about mood. Its heavy basslines and infectious rhythm are perfect for when the room is just beginning to sway. Insolate’s remix, however, takes us deep into a shadowy underworld, with a bumpy 303 bassline leading the charge. It’s darker, more introspective, yet no less compelling - a soundtrack for the early morning hours when the club starts to feel like a shared dream.

Finally, there’s "Stint", a chaotic burst of mad sequences and frenetic energy. This is Yoikol at his most unhinged, crafting a track that feels tailor-made for peak-time mayhem. Nicolas Vogler’s remix reins things in slightly, creating a trippy, minimal reinterpretation that’s all about gnarly basslines and echoed claps - a perfect counterpoint to the original’s wild abandon.

What makes "We’ll Be The Weirdos" truly remarkable is its balance between functionality and personality. Yoikol is a producer who clearly knows his craft, but he’s not afraid to have fun with it. There’s a wink, a grin, a touch of theatricality in his work - an invitation to dance not just with your body, but with a sense of playful defiance.

Arkham Audio, known for championing innovative and boundary-pushing techno, has found a kindred spirit in Yoikol. His ability to blend Detroit’s intensity, Chicago’s groove, acid’s mechanical futurism, and industrial’s grit into something uniquely his own is a testament to his versatility and vision.

For the techno purists, the club rats, and anyone who’s ever felt a little out of step with the world, "We’ll Be The Weirdos" is your anthem. In Yoikol’s universe, the weirdos don’t just belong - they lead the charge.
