Artridge is a musical project coming from Berlin. FINISHED SOUNDTRACKS FOR UNSHOT FILMS (a very evocative title, indeed) is their second full lenght and contains eight excellent examples of well done sound constructions. The instrumental tracks carry so many musical genres and sonic solutions that is impossible to file them under a specific one. For this reason it's the best thing naming them: soundtracks. Since there isn't a visual counterpart there's a little text on the inside cover which refers to a girl who sits on a wall looking to the sea thinking about what it has to come. This could be a little hint about the emotions underlined by the sixty minutes of music you can find into the CD. Anyway, musically Artridge blend in a perfect way elements of classical music (piano and strings) with ambient or industrial elements just to compose jazzy / ambient / industrial suites which are really full of colors. Tension, romanticism, fear, each emotion has been covered so well that you won't realize that there are no images.
