Chabz and Krizo are two different projects linked because of the Hungarian collective Realistic Crew, which sees the partecipation of K. Vranic and Cs Kalotas (the two guys behind them). Sonic 360 release consists of a twin CD E.P. where each project present six tracks. Chabz's E.P. is titled GROWGROW and the six tracks contained are focused on hip hop rhythms and ambient sounds where East European flavours and sounds are dilated and melt into distorted basslines (dear to grime music). Scratches and feedback are mixed with synth pads and loops, creating a solid urban soundscape. Krizo's E.P. TEST LIES sounds a little more grime thanks to the different kind of rhymths used and thank to a more darkish atmosphere. Listening to "My empty things" seems to watch a noir movie of the future where jazz music turned into something sicker. "Delutan" is slighty more lounge thanks to the dilated piano lines and to the voice loops. "You" is a jazzy tune really dark and the vocal parts make it perfect for a Spillane book. With "Trashlife" the grime influences come back but mixed with experimental ambient parts. At a first listenind Krizo's E.P. is the one that I liked most but I have to admit that both of them are really good. England is not the only place good for this sounds, so check them out!
