I've been in France several times and I think I've heard a million indie bands coming from there, don't ask me what, but I think there a thread joining the most of 'em. Audiopixel (but I could say that also about Konki Duet) has a "childish/kitty-katty" pop flavor add that weird french melancholic feeling I was talking and more or less you know how to file this cd. "Memento rumori" is simple and essential but obviously you don't need many words to express deep concepts and this release goes down deep into your chest. The thin female vocals has that lovely japanese style a-la "Kazu Makino-Ikue Mori-Toco Iasuda", lot's pf these ballads have been arranged with a bit of digital noises and it works. The most of the melodies bring back to childhood and the pop attitude get pretty well with it: "Jai plus de peine pour un chat ècrasè". In the most of these "fairy tales" the spine of the track is a guitar or somewhere else a piano that are fused really well with the lap-top skill and the result saves everything from getting boring like many similar listenings. "Childish-indie-pop"?...maybe, here and there a bit of folk, a thing french depression haunting all around and a songwriting that's really close to minimalism.
