Already known for his releases as Portable, Alan Abrahams decided to form another project focused on a more dance floor oriented electronica. With Portable he is well known for his way of blending tribal rhythms and micro-house sounds. With Bodycode he didn’t wipe off his style completely because on different tracks of THE CONSERVATION OF ELECTRIC CHARGE you can hear tribal rhythms or salsa rhythms and instruments with ambient layers (like on on "Gene patch"). There’s also space for classic techno on "I, data" (one of the tracks I appreciate the most), i.d.m. treatments on the opening "Nanotechnology" and ambient techno on "Local traffic". Some tracks (few of them, fortunately), tend to loop too much and this produce an effect similar to "cool if I’m on acid". Nice for a dance floor use but not fully enjoyable at home even if the change of styles is a good thing.
