Is it me or is there musically anything else to find than Goth-Metal-Rock music lately hailing from Italy? LACUNA COIL, NIGHTWISH and comparable seemed to kick off a real avalanche of that music genre and The LoveCrave are just another act fronted with an energetic female vocalist providing this style of music. This CD is up to be released on the German RepoRecords label, which mostly grabbed attention though some re-releases of classic FUNKER VOGT items. Well, for them this is a musically development by building a constant label roster – but also without any risk. The LoveCrave don’t disappoint for their music style, while I hardly can’t hear their Goth influence. Some moments in Silence on "Can You Hear Me" and some synth bass lines don’t undermine the rich given Metal attitude. Better done is the ballad-like "Fading Roses" providing some well integrated pianos. This is definitively not really my cup of tea and the lately through Alfa Matrix released I:SCINTILLA did it much more for me. If The LoveCrave can follow the above mentioned patterns, has to be proven. For fans of that genre only.
