When I received this CD from Prikosnovenie I double read the label name on the cover, because Misstrip is sounding like nothing they had previously released. It’s like the label is wishing to do a big step by producing a band that could fit the MTV listings. Misstrip sound mix a little bit of Bjork (see the vocals on tracks like the opening "A ticket to death" or on "Alcamy) with electronics a la Sneaker Pimps as well guitar riffs that make me think about Evanescence or Lacuna Coil. The different tracks offers these kind of sounds alternating delicate moments to energetic semi metal atmospheres but having always electronic arrangements. The vocals cover a wide range of musical styles as sometimes it recall me the heavenly style, so dear to the label, the fore mentioned Bjork and the energy of the rock metal bands. The production is real at the top and the "A ticket to death" video is well packet. The only thing is that for my tastes this kind of music is too mainstream but for sure Misstrip will be able to break the walls of indifference that surround the new projects. Good luck!
