Also a debut release for this LA-based Powernoise duo, out now on the new label Sistinas. Consisting of Shaun Englefield and Theo Harper this duo offers mostly rhythmically Powerelectronics of the hardest kind. They show no mercy to torment some nerves of the fainthearted through that typically and monotonous track construction filled with the overused dose of distortion, delay, reverb and overdrive effects in all kinds. The music is very tough produced and really reminds on the hardest TERRORFAKT/CONVERTER outputs (...and it’s really seldom that I agree on comparisons done by the label...). The track "Psycho Killer" really turns the overall sound of this act into a wild distortion-massacre, for sure the hardest piece here. This track got also reworked into a more calm and mostly driven by some ominous synth-layers oriented piece. Another remarkable track can be named with "Small Time Pedophile (Gary Glitter Mix)", dedicated to the British 70ties Glam-Rock legend, which offers a lesser amount of uncontrolled distortions. The internationally renowned act MANUFACTURA is also available here with a remix work on the track "Shut Up And Bleed". Some more real compositional efforts on some tracks wouldn’t be wrong for a possible future release simply to offer a wider diversity. Nevertheless W.A.S.T.E. have produced an ultra-violent Powernoise album, which should appeal all fanatics of this genre which look out for a tough alternative to the Ant-Zen/Hands roster.
