This one I'm gonna review is my favourite product on Komplott so far, and even if that's just a "short" cd I can but confirm is unquestionably worth the listening. While on the previous effort miss Hartman was working with sound-diaries from a volcano and a "report" from a boat trip, this time the swedish sound artist gave us four short exhibit of her "field recording" skill. While the sound quality is amazing as always these four short blasts demonstrate a concrete/field recording work doesn't necessarily have to be long (and sometimes boring). If you listen to it all as a continuum at times it’s hard (above all for the fist tracks) to get when a track is over if not for the silence between the different "songs". The sound ambience is quite heterogeneous and above all closer to "music concrete" if compared to the drone-alike suite of the preceding cd. We're talking again about commissioned music and the closing track has been specially made for what I suppose to be a contemporary ballet which I'd be really looking forward to see. I’ve the impression Hanna’s approach is by some means essential and directed mainly on an high quality recording and editing combination, sure you probably have special effects but she still respect the first belief of every good field-recording/concrete artist. And if the voice I can hear crossing the soundscapes is her own...well: Hanna merry me!!. I’m serious this’ a really good cd.
