New Jersey rockers, Black Pool delivers something very promising for this cd-r release "Suspend Belief"---six exclusive songs ranging from punk to goth. A very well produced tracks accomplished. My kind of band that can make good rock 'n' roll music with raw emotion, feelings expressed and sung from the heart. Enough energy from the sound of the drums will make you dance, shake, shout, and scream. The band's front woman singer, Melody Bleak, become one-dimensional with the music itself. She is known from being the singer, guitarist, and keyboard player for the San Francisco band Bleak punk/goth band Track. The way she sings is sincere and strong. So aggressive, unique with compassion and pain. I always enjoy listening to her voice, which can be happy, sad or frustrated and vulnerable at the same time. Intriguing tracks "Suspend Belief", "Sick With Desire", the bloody horror tell-tale "Blood in the Dollhaus" and "The Past Is Close Behind You", a dark beautiful
melancholic track that's misty soothing and haunting that can go for a music video and a movie soundtrack. Guitar, bass, synth and drum all spark together in making this superb ep. A shining and crafted band who have the gift of talent to showcase to the public, either in concert, radio and/or television. I truly and honest respect this band. High recommended to check out!
