After the fine first compilation "Klangdynamische Bewegung Vol. 1", here comes the second release for the new German label Klangdynamik, this time a debut release of a Bavarian one-man act. Conspicuous I find the decision to release this debut as a CD-R – it looks professionally done for sure, no doubts on this, but I tend to ask for the reasons. Behind COLLAPSE PROJECT hides Klaus Hörmann and he presents here his musically output heavily inspired by some classic Dark Electro artists like LEAETHER STRIP, old yelworC, EVILS TOY and comparable acts. That also means that COLLAPSE PROJECT seem not to feel to strengthen the already very strong populated Hellektro army camp – this music creates thanks to some slight added different styles a very own niche in the world-wide scene. Of course – and this was a bit to expect after recognizing that this would be a CD-R – you shouldn’t expect an upper class regarding the mixing and the end mastering, it seems to be pretty much self-produced and mastered – but what counts is the identity and the featured ideas behind it. Klaus efforts can convince totally on the straight danceable pieces like "World Of Lies", "My Own Way", "Fireblade" and the tough stomper "Silent Hunter". That he has also a fine nose for the right moody synth layer sounds he like to present well on the instrumental tunes "Reanimate" or "Crusher V.1". This release comes strictly limited to 111 exemplars, so you’ll have to hurry up to purchase this well-done debut. I also have read somewhere else about another hard-to-get-version of this release featuring a limited second CD with 5 extra tracks – try as hard as you can to get it, promising stuff for the die-hard Dark Electro/EBM freaks.
