A new EP for this well-known German act after a 2-years long time-out. ACCESSORY are still signed to the meanwhile grown Out Of Line-label and are still representing the valuable German-Electro-front. Their mixture of EBM arranged with modern sounds taken out of Techno/Trance-productions still makes it a bit difficult to compare them with more prominent examples, but maybe this also belongs on the fact, that ACCESSORY have become through the years a very own institution. Released as an EP, but filled with 13 tracks this "Holy Machine" behaves nearly like a complete new album. 7 new compositions are featured plus a few remix works and this mostly without the often asked and used same notorious artists are giving some special value to this release. ACCESSORY have always taken care to support some local comrades and to offer them some exposure with the chance to create remix works, how else would you discover names like MENTALIC, F.O.D. or ADDICTED DREAMS? The title track and also both additional main tracks "Kein Vergeben" and "Ewigkeit" offer all thoughtful German lyrics, it seems at least that ACCESSORY have grown and are recognizing social- and political-driven themes out of their area. "What The Hell Is..." has to be named as being the most aggressive track here and can provide the most dancefloor-compatibility. Further remix works got created by CEPHALGY (a good one on "Holy Machine" with more energetic bass lines and some background guitar riffs) and PANDIQUE (very modern Synth-/Futurepop-oriented), both represent the better known names. A quite fair and convincing release from ACCESSORY, while not at all groundbreaking.
