Inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, SUMMONING THE ELDER ONES is the newest collaborative album of two projects coming from Argentina: Kazeria and Igniis. Alternating tracks written by each of them the track list of the album sounds balanced and various. Each track is referring to a specific tale of the U.S. master of horror and CD opens with "A three lobbed burning eye" (inspired by "The haunter of the dark"), a slow martial ambient tune based on strings, percussions and tense atmospheres. The following one, "Crawford tillinghast" (inspired by "From beyond"), which has Spanish vocals, mix neo-folk guitars, percussions and keyboards, creating a great atmosphere in balance from a fairytale and a soundtrack. The album in this way alternates the dark ambient/martial industrial soundscapes of Kazeria on odd numbered tracks and the ones of Igniis on even numbered tunes. In this way they are able to propose similar atmospheres but different approaches to sounds (Igniis is a bit more melodic, even if he alternates neo-folk to industrial psychedelic atmospheres). We have also some guests of the likes of Opus Nigrum (on "El ceremonial" which they wrote with Igniis) and Schattenspiel on "U-29". On the CD (which has been printed on a 500 copies run) you'll find also a nice video of "Before the alter of Dagon" where evocative drawings are mixed with shots of mysterious masked men.
