Glis-Extract, a electropop cd designed for dancing till the next milieniium. The brains behind this cd is a duo, Shaun Frandsen and Andrea Ashdown, originally from Chicago, now reside in Seattle, Washington. Although every track on this album is all danceable, three tracks appealed to me the most. Track 1, it's empty in her eyes, is the one that was the most interesting. Electro beats hitting hard on your brain with overdubbed samples, saying, I want to get out of here right now, as Shaun and Andrea tell the story of a girl who is just plain empty. Track 3, Nightvision is a favorite already of mine. I was dancing as I was writing this review. A nuclear assault on the dancefloor filled with hard synths and haunting backing vocals repeatly saying, I won't come back tomorrow, I won't return again. Repeatly refraining "in the night" saying this with utter creepiness under a machine that was just gone haywire. Dark electronic voices to match dark electronic moods and lastly Track 8, I.C. Stars, the eighties meets electronica. Andrea sings like "Tifanny" from the eighites gone cyborg. Flowing breakbeats circling around this newly created seduction designed to lure you in. An soon to be instant dancefloor hit anywhere and out of this world. Enter "Glis" don't let it be a miss, I see 4 stars!
