Provision consists of four machines programmers; Matt Coker-vox, synths, lyrics; Leslie Hyman-Lead synths, programming, lyrics; and the husband and wife, Breye Kyzer-percussion, programming, lead vox, lyrics; Katie Kyzer-synths, vox, lyrics. One of the most innovative electronic acts in America, who has performed as an opening act for Red Flag ( who mastered the band's debut release), Anything Box, Imperative Reaction, and Cut.Rate.Box. Their first release 'Evaporate' shows alot of intense vocals, intricate analog programming and expressive percussion. Lyrics so passionate and so emotional which talks about love, lust, trust, lies, betrayal, deception and society. Every track will make you dance without skipping a beat. You'll enjoy tracks "In Love", "This Moment", "Lies", "Memories", "My Only Question", "Devotion" and the self-titled "Evaporate". This Houston, Texas electro act reminds me of 80's electronic pioneer Information Society, but the band have their own unique full-filling sound while other electronic bands are copying from others. "Evaporate" is filled with energetic dance floor pounding beats going at the rate from 116-135 bpm (beat per minute). Provision provides a brilliant 100% pure synth-pop dance album that features 12 tracks so captivating with an futuristic edge.

Who ever thought this electro-darkwave band will ressurrect after being put under ice by Diego because of the departure of his other half member, Claudio? In his place is Diego's long time girlfriend, Arianna, who was also part of another project with her boyfriend called STATIC MOVEMENT. The new release by this male and female duo is still the same like all the previous releases. Alot of good songs stands the album out. "Wintertag", "When You Are Sad", "Silence Is Talking", "Sperm Like Honey", "Freon Heart, Fayence Mind", "Second Sight (that feature two versions with each individual singing the song alone), and the self-titled "Emotional Screening Device" are my favorites. Strong ethereal vox, electro-rhythms and synthesizers constructs an electronic dynamic patterns with mid and fast tempos. Glad to hear this extraordinary Italian band making a comeback.

This album is so SAD and DEPRESSING! Makes you want to crawl to a corner and mourn to yourself in silence. But I like it still. Every track on Canaan's new debut "A Calling To Weakness" have a melancholic feel. As for I know, I heard this is their very best, much more darker, and heaviest to date. Based out of Italy, this five piece darkwave band plays out their tension emotions. Songs like "Prayer For Nothing", "The Forever Passion", "Grey", "The Ghosts Of My Betrayal", "Everything You Say", and "A Last Lullaby" are my favorites. "To Those Who Cried" is sung in Middle-Eastern language and "Essere Nulla" in Italian. Both is quite interesting. Track 12 "Submission", have a sample of Gregorian Chant Choir singing in a compassionate gloomy way that could be sung at a funeral. All 17 tracks can be enjoyed by listening to it in the dark while lying in bed.

This is a new synthpop compilation put together by Todd Durrant, the man who's behind A Different Drum label. New electro acts for the new generation has taken synth-pop to another level and continued the tradition where the 80's pioneers left off. The compilation album features some of the greatest underground acts who have the potential to create their own electronic music in various texture of styles, forms, and soundscapes such as bands like WAVE IN HEAD, B! Machine, Moulin Noir, Cosmicity, Merge, Voice Industrie, Virtual Server, Neuropa, and New Clear Sky. Just to name a few. Spiritual, strong and tense emotions, and catchy melodies can be heard coming from the sound of cold machines. Hear the songs of love, happiness, loneliness, sadness, and despair with electro rhythms that will make you dance and allow you to think in solitude of silence that will inspire you and soothe your soul.

"Kataklysmik" is the second release from Dr. Mad and Moonstone, known as the Letrotek. This album will pleased djs and ravers. As listening to the cd, alot of hard work has been put into it. All tracks are phat with hitting hard-floor beats fusing with synths and electronics altogether. I visualize strobelights, laserlights, dancing, sex and of course, can't leave out the drug ecstasy. You'll bob your head to cold cutting sharp razorblade tracks "Travelozity", "Klone", "Party Undergrownd", "Jaggyd" and "Organik Fuzion". And if you're a hardcore techno fan, prepare yourself for some wet sweaty hard groove dancing on "Supa Nova", "Head Banga", and "Purpyl Ectassy". These three tracks puts me in the mind of England's own techno lads Prodigy. If I play this cd to a couple of djs here in Birmingham, their mouths will drop wide open and they'll be in a great state of shock to find out the dynamic duo is from our hometown. It shows you that we do have alot of talent here in the deep south of the city, but no one and even record companies don't even realize it until now. For those who watch The American Idol, which I don't care for, alot of people have been raving for Ruben Studdart (who's also in an well-known r&b/jazz local band called Just A Few Cats) all over the United States and many times they have mentioned he's from here on the national reality television show.
