This
Is What I Hear When You Talk is the work of Dan Fox, who is also the
man behind Inner Demons Records and the projects Loss, Fail, and a
host of others. This is from the side label Tinnitus Factory, which
has the slogan, "If mental illness had a soundtrack." These
discs are a bit different in that they are minimally packaged and
focus on the emotion Fox is trying to evoke. The general formula of
TIWIHWYT is to find an interesting sound and run with it, so let's
see how this works with the emotional slant of these discs.
This
is some interesting sweeping high pitched, whining noise that
constantly moves back and forth in the headphones as a crunching
static pounds away. This is like being in an airplane that is
plummeting towards the ground while all of the engines are on fire.
Nicely done. Works well as a base track for the noises happening
around you as well.
This
disc weighs in at 35 minutes and physical copies are limited to 6
copies (of course digital copies are unlimited and are only $1).
