This album is a reissue from when Barry Sheffield decided to reboot Fusion Audio Recordings. Those of you who were around in the early 2000s late 1990s will remember his work with R4 and Fusion Audio. It's nice to get a kind of time capsule of what the music coming out of that time was like, because for a lot of people these recordings are kind of lost to the ages. This one, however, holds up quite well.

Most noise folks will remember Castro as part of the noise outfit Cornucopia. This is one long-form piece using what appears to be synth and guitar. Some adjectives that come to mind with this are calm, peaceful, languid, and dreamlike. But this isn't the kind of dream where you are floating on a cloud or something like that. Rather, it's the kind of the dream where everything is sort of off-kilter but not in any way that you can put your finger on. There's just a touch of dissonance in it that keeps it from going just pure ambient. In some ways it reminds me of some of Vidna Obmana's earlier works. Overall, this is a nice disc for when you want something to slow your roll. This album weighs in at about 46 minutes.
