I had no clue who Mrs. Dink is and the bandcamp link takes us to a Washington-based label Degenerate Trifecta. As for the title, I suspect that Mrs. Dink is taking issue with J.K. Rowling's controversial comments regarding transgender individuals, but there is little in the music to give us a clue concerning this. So, with nothing but the music to guide us, let's dive in.

If you are looking for the harsh noise wall prevalent on Inner Demons, you will be sorely disappointed. That's not to say that you will walk away empty handed though. This is one of the times where you will come looking for something that you wanted and leave with something you didn't know that you needed. This could best be described as demented techno. A drum machine gone amok mixed with random noises and demo tracks on a children's toy keyboard. There are moments of heavy noisiness, such as Untitled 1, but always with a heavy beat until the end, when "Noyzie Boi" shows up to show us why they chose Inner Demons to release this. This is heavy distorted noise with some scrap metal junk noise mixed in that cuts out repeatedly like a record skipping and then kicks into 8-bit video game noises mixed with pulsing noise wall. I especially like how Mrs. Dink lulls us into a sense of ease, then hits us with the static. Well done.

In short, if you like beats, but find most techno to be too sanitized and “drum and noise” to be too serious, this will be right up your alley. This is weird and doesn't seem to take itself too seriously, which is always refreshing in the noise realm. This weighs in at around 21 minutes and is well worth checking out.
