Warui Yume is another project of the artist behind Nightmare Park, who I had previously reviewed for Inner Demons. I know little about the artist, other than they hail from Connecticut and my previous exposure to Nightmare Park, so let’s dive in.

This disc consists of two tracks. “A Rupture In The Particle Mass” is an interesting mix of broken static and distant echoes that stop and stop at times, keeping it interesting. It seems to be an exercise in restraint.

“Collapsing Tesseract” takes a similar trajectory with the sparse static and what sounds like construction in a large warehouse, only recorded from very far away. There is some processing, like running loops backwards, and over time the clattering noises come more and more to the forefront.

Overall, this is an interesting disc, and although it is sparse and not terribly noisy, it is enjoyable and engaging. Those who like experimental without the harsh noise wall would appreciate this. This disc weighs in at 17 minutes and is limited to 42 copies.
