A real legend is back! GGFH, a US Dark Electro band mainly influenced by splatter/horror movies is back now after 7 years in silence after their last studio work "Halloween". 13 new tracks are included here on this new full length CD and mastermind Ghost integrates a lot of effort to reanimate the past times. The mood and overall sound is comparable although I must say, that GGFH 2005 sounds a bit more angry, more destroying and filthy. The melodic ingredients have moved a bit in the background, but therefore the musically diversity has grown. The title track sets a first highlight, the beats are slow, the overall mood depressive through the rough PUPPYan-like vocal input of Ghost. "Genosside" is more linear constructed, a real Dark Electro pearl. The whole album is filled with uncountable effects and samples, sometimes this ends into sampling bridges before, after or in between ("High Way") the tracks. "Guilty" deals with some religious themes, again separate supported by some provoking Islamic samples. "Grinder" moves the rotten souls of the listeners towards to the dancefloors, while "2haven2hold" takes the lyrical content of the classic DEPECHE MODE track "To Have And To Hold". I wouldn’t say that this is a real cover version, more a kind of an own self produced piece. The whole album shows a good diversity, although a strong melodic anthem like the old "Plasterchrist" you won’t find here. For the fans which can still remember their classic releases for the UK based label Dreamtime Recordings, this new album is a must-have. It is also diverse enough to grab attention by the interested newbies.
