If you already know the albums released by Marco Haas for Mute this new one will surprise you... I don't know if in a positive way or not, but it will. Just to clear up things this RANDOM NOIZE SESSIONS VOL.1 isn't a proper new album as it is a collection of unreleased and live tracks that Marco did in the 1996/2005 span of time. It sounds experimental to the bone but surely influenced by i.d.m. and techno. The different tracks sounds like laboratory experiments soundtracks as they create a sort of cold atmosphere always suspended between ambient sounds and glitches. The shorter ones create a sort of intermezzo between darker tracks like "In the ghetto" that separates "The actual vermona" from "So leis wie noch nie": two cool techno dark ambient tracks full of tension. At a first listening this album could sound difficult but if you are willing to dare a little you'll discover a new face of T.Raumschmiere, different from his techno punk of records like "Radio Blackout" or "Blitzkrieg Pop".
