Ah, another striking synth-pop record by I, Synthesist. This time the one man electronic act, Chris Ianuzzi, composed and mixed ambient and experimental tracks. Very handy with craftsmanship and scientific basis with science and technology. This New Yorker have the ability to combine both. A super genius this guy is. The title of the album is natural phenomenon and represents the whole conception of the record. Wonderfully a combination of 80's and modern synth-pop. So inspiring and interesting. This sophomore release has the potential to keep the the listener's ears open, even Chris voice fit perfectly right with the songs. I like the way he sings. Reminded me of Talking Heads frontman David Byrne. Whether he's singing in a sense of humor or seriousness form, I find his singing abstract, but unique. Synth melodies catchy, creating a dreamy and a mysterious atmosphere that will draw you in. The final track "The Overlook", which closes the album is a 20 minute ambient soundscape instrumental piece that will go great to a sci-fi movie or a science or space documentary. The "Art Of Survival" is surely another surefooted winner that glows with just enough charm and melodic magic and dancefloor beats to keep your feet tapping and dancing. I, Synthesist has achieved successfully producing an outstanding progressive electro record. Each song takes on its own personality with distinctive lyrics, which steadily varies in a different mood. Delightfully overwhelming and impressive!

"Madeleine", the new single by The Mystic Underground is surely a super synth-pop record from their forth-coming 2008 release "It Really Shouldn't Be This Hard". The duo is back with a well crafted hard hitting club and radio track. Valette's voice display a serious matter what captures the ear about the woman he's singing about. An adorable love composition with the familiar sound of Erasure. The single includes a remix version called Dancing Queen. Ultimately enough to be equipped with a hard hitting dance club edge with enthusiasm and energy. Synth melodies gives off an intense feel. Kick off your shoes and get your dance on!

Storming out of Scottsdale, Arizona area that's rarely known as a thriving music scene, this goth band made their debut in the music industry by opening up for The Cruxshadows, Belle Morte, The Last Dance, and Faith and the Muse. Reliquary will take you on a cold icy chilling journey that will stir an emotional and powerful enchanted feeling. Their album "Winter World" is truly a benchmark in the history of Goth music and the dark subculture itself altogether. I worship this band because of the lyrics and the music that's strongly so very well written with enlightenment and visual images throughout. The band consists of: Kara-voice; Loki-guitars, programming; and Suriel-bass. All tracks on the cd are very honest, transparent, embellish, and spellbinding with capturing of its melodies and strong hooks. Kara's compassionate vocals so sultry, enticing, divine with beauty sung in soprano and opera. Sweet harmonies swoons in sadness, agony of pain, lost and dreams torn apart, which also faded away.

Reliquary really have the potential to go further with their music career. It's hard to resist from listening to this band. The first time you pop the cd in, you'll ended up having the cd player repeat the cd to play it over and over again and again. Their songs will heal you, make you cry, and make you think. Like in the lines of "Lost In Thought":

"Moments of sorrow falling like rain
Distances past and returned again
Colors of heartache stir beneath
Layers of numbness and spreading disease"

This album is highly recommended for goths who just got out of an relationship, lost, lonely, and sad. A brilliant superb album that's unforgettable.

Cold Cluster (former aka Kluster Cold) cd represents a style of new school synth-pop and other electronic genres. This is one of their best and finest up to date ever produced album recorded which pair with the Gerstein's tracks you can find after the Scenic Overlook cover of Cold Cluster's "Explanation". All eighteen tracks dominant skillfully with synthesizers and a drum machine. Very inspiring and brilliantly original grating and overwhelming at a longer length, it clocks at 68 minutes. So remarkably consistent from start to finish. As vocals concern, imagine the late great Ian Curtis doing synth-pop music. This is what Gerstein sounds like on his eight tracks. Tense and defining, but also with a intimate impression and passsionate feel. "Bipolar/Wring The Wrist" is definitely is a superb unique listening experience and will get you hook! It plunges into intelligence, fascination, and catchy melodies. A solid portrayal of the band's captivating music personality strong cuts from the cd including "Obsession", "Explanation", "She Never looked backwards", '"The End of The Summer, "Akaline Tears" plus Gerstein's "Tender" and "Love Alarm". Best record for the summer and fall with anticipation and the production with clean, rich and glossy. Very highly recommended.

Kluster Cold: The First Halagenous Lights

This album is taken whole and over flows with 80's music idea; the tone, structure and melodic progression. An instrumental synth-pop with a movie soundtrack twist. So outstanding with some impulse tunes. Italian Kluster Cold draws out a full substantial sound that injects emotions and pinned with the early likes of OMD and Gary Numan and a few other synthesizers pioneers, but KC stands alone in the 21st century from the other new synth-pop artists. The music ful-fills the role of a competent electronic artist that makes unpredictable and dynamic range compositions, tidy modulation, oscillators and synths cliches so forth. The track "Requiem" gives off a ghostly haunting funeral feel. "Existence" and "Minimal Season" resembles the very early of OMD. The suspense thriller tracks "In His Whimper Rain" and "Telephone Murder" shows off a dramatic crafting power delivering punctual art. "The First Halogenous Lights" album nurtures competent, honesty, and pretentious with uniqueness.
